PLAYERS RATINGS: Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool

A disappointing performance for both teams, where Arsenal dominated the match, but they only lacked scoring goals. While Liverpool weren’t in their top form.

However, Arsenal couldn’t resist Liverpool’s desire to score even they weren’t the dominant side, but they worked hard and took advantage of the few chances they had, even though they didn’t reach Arsenal area a lot and where sometimes depending on the counter-attack.

Liverpool scored the first goal, but then they conceded a goal and lost two valuable points to Arsenal in a “six points” match.

Arsenal’s player’s ratings:

Brend Leno:  A good match, he made several saves and helped his team. Can’t be really blamed for the goal, couldn’t do much. 6.5/10

Shkodran Mustafi: He had a great game, the best in the back line today. 8/10

Rob Holding: He’s improving game by game. Was good today. 7/10

Hector Bellerin: Showed some improvement compared to the previous matches. Had good crosses as well. 6.5/10

Sead Kolasinac: Was still affected by the injury, but a good match and pace against a tough opponent. 6.5/10

Granit Xhaka:  Was good in the midfield today, was receiving and distributing the ball. But wasn’t so good in defense, was partially at fault for not covering Milner before scoring. 6/10

Lucas Torreira: As well, was doing a good job in the midfield. Was close to score on the 63rd minute. 7/10

Mesut Ozil: Made some effort, but it wasn’t enough. It’s one of the matches he goes “missing” to a point. 5.5/10

Alexander Lacazette:  Wasn’t clinical and sharp enough, but he was trying such as the missing chance on the 39th minute. 6/10

Henrikh Mkhitaryan: A couple of passes, but had a poor game. Wasn’t dangerous. 5 /10
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Was rushing to score, wasn’t good enough today. /10




Alex Iwobi: Made a wonderful pass that led to Lacazette’s goal. Had to play instead of Mikhitaryan earlier. 6/10
Aaron Ramsey: Didn’t do anything on the pitch. 5/10
Danny Welbeck: Couldn’t do much. 5/10
Unai Emery: Had a good match, but he lacked goas and wasn’t clinical enough in the first half. However, he got out with a crucial draw against Liverpool. 6/10


Liverpoo’s players ratings:

Alisson Becker: Was always protecting his net and saved several shots and balls. But the equalizing goal was partially his fault, he was able to cover his area in a better way. 6.5/10

Trent Alexander-Arnold: Wasn’t that good today, but did okay. 6.5

Joe Gomez: Had a good match, was strong and fast and tactical. 7.5/10

Virgil van Dijk: Maybe Liverpool’s best player. He was a defender and a striker sometimes as well such as on the 23rd and 74th minutes. A decent match! 8/10

Andrew Robertson: A good match, was active on his side. 7/10

Georginio Wijnaldum: Didn’t have a good match. He had to be replaced for Shaqiri. 6/10

James Milner:  A leader in the midfield, balanced between the attack and defense and scored a crucial goal. 8/10

Fabinho: Didn’t play his best game yet. A very average match. 6/10

Sadio Mane: A very average performance. Only used his pace today but we didn’t see the best of Mane today. 6/10

Roberto Firmino: Was so poor, we didn’t see him a lot. 5/10

Mohamed Salah: Was almost alone upfront, he did most of the attacking duties and had a decent match. But didn’t find enough support today. 8/10


Cherdan Shaqiri: Had to play from before. 5/10
Jurgen Klopp:  Didn’t have his best match, but he’s still not losing to Arsenal since his arrival in the Premier League. 7/10
Man of the match: Salah and Van Dijk were decent. But Van Dijk had an invincible match.
