Chelsea and Manchester United seem they have a new player on their radar for this summer transfer windows where they are keen to strengthen the squad in order to get back to the Premier League race and Champions League football in the upcoming season.
According to several sources and reports such as the English news source, Independent, Chelsea have shown an interested in the Serbian midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic Savic, who is playing in the Italian Serie A club, Lazio FC, where the Serbian player is on the radar of other European giants as well.
Sergej Milinkovic Savic is considered one of the hottest summer targets for the European giants and especially in the Premier League such as Manchester United and Chelsea FC where Jose Mourinho is keen to strengthen the midfield, especially with the potential departure of Paul Pogba back to his former club, Juventus FC.
On the other hand, Chelsea FC suffered in the midfield last season with the shaky performance of Cesc Fabregas, Danny Drinkwater, and Tiemoue Bakayoko who played one of their worst seasons.
Manchester United’s midfield isn’t in a better case as well with the shaky performance of Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera where only Nemanja Matic was consistent last season.
Sergej Milinkovic Savic is expected to leave his current club, Lazio, to the Premier League where Chelsea and Manchester United are the favorites to sign him, especially that the release clause of the player is estimated to be around 100million Euros, a price tag not all the clubs can handle.
