Chelsea have received awful news earlier today after the club was banned for two transfer windows from signing any player after breaching FIFA laws.
This ban has a huge impact on Chelsea’s future and current plans, especially sacking Mauricio Sarri who could stay at the Stamford Bridge because a new manager may be limited to the current squad, which would be hard for any manager to accept. However, four players could be directly affected by this transfer ban, which could see them away from the Stamford Bridge.
The first player is Gonzalo Higuain who arrived on a loan spell until the end of this season from Juventus FC, where there is an option to buy or extend the loan. However, Chelsea won’t be able to register the player according to some sources so Gonzalo Higuain could be leaving back to Italy. Moreover, Alvaro Morata was sent on a loan to Atletico Madrid with an option to buy him, and Atletico Madrid are the ones who will be deicing his future and Chelsea could be without a top striker if Atletico Madrid decides to sign Alvaro Morata.
On the other hand, Matteo Kovacic is in a similar scenario, where he will be heading back to Real Madrid at the end of this season because he won’t be able to get registered by Chelsea.
Finally, Christian Pulisic shouldn’t face any issues playing for Chelsea next season, as he is a Chelsea player already and on a loan to Borussia Dortmund, so e will be joining Chelsea with no issues during the summer.
